The Expansion
The project aimed at the demolition and partial reconstruction of the industrial warehouse . Work was carried out on the existing roofs, the infill walls and the structures that were damaged in the survey phase were dismantled. Because of production needs, we have been inserted a portion with a free span of 27 meters. The materials and geometries are following the same language of the entire Metra complex: the structure was made of steel, externally the infill panels and the roof are made with new insulated aluminum panels, transparent polycarbonate panels are inserted in correspondence with the skylights. and in correspondence with the side openings, new thermal break windows have been inserted. Inside the shed, the project proposes functional openings for the use of the different work areas.

metrological room - FONDERIE DI TORBOLE
DESIGN AND WORK MANAGEMENT
Size: 300 sqm
The new metrological room is obtained inside an industrial volume through the creation of sound absorbing panels. Near the metrology room there are secondary areas such as a bathroom block, a test room, two storage areas, a technical room serving the electrical system and an office with a waiting room. The floor of the metrology room and the ancillary rooms remains raised above the level of the adjacent workshop by means of a screed interposed with an anti-vibration mat able to dampen vibrations from the surrounding environment. The portion of the room beyond the edge of the upper slab remains covered by insulated panels in Marcegaglia-type sheet metal, while the closure of the room with respect to the adjacent workshop area is made with modular aluminum panels.
