Falconeri & Tezenis

Building subject to the Superintendency to Architectural and Landscape Properties.
Adaptation of a pre-existing commercial space dating back to the 1960s with the simultaneous division into two distinct sales activities.

The architectural constraint to which the building was submitted has let to the partial restoration of the spaces of the original Bar Rome dating back to the early twentieth century, recovering the original architectural system with lightweight and reconversible materials (plasterboard for skirting and modular trabecings, insertion of glazed walls and transparent windows that would read from both shops the existence of the interesting central cavern).

Both stores are organized on two levels, differently  articulated in sales spaces and / or warehouses. The separation wall between the two activities is realized by high-density plasterboard partitions of 2,50meters high and topped with  a glassed part so to see the central cavity in both commercial units.

The two new showcases are realized in continuity between them and they differ  from the signboard.

WORK DESIGN, WORK MANAGEMENT

Size: 4.934 mq

The commercial compartment  project  consists of two buildings featuring a curvilinear design that mirrors the view to and from the motorway; in the center the sides are slightly inclined towards the central part so as to form a "square" of access to the two buildings.

The planimetric design of the whole operation is different  from the usual orthogonality used in nearby commercial-productive areas, using now a sinuous design that best fits into the morphological conformation of the lot.

The first building is a medium-sized sales structure featuring a two-level entrance hall for the location of services, department stores and offices. The second is one floor only divided into several commercial and dining spaces. Exteriors will be qualified by a pre-painted sheet metal coating with an irregular top profile, which partially shields the prefabricated panels and breaks the linearity and compactness of structural volumes.

The building facing the highway also features a continuous glass strip.
